The ellipsoidal optical system provides a high output beam with a centre peak. This can be made more even (2:1) by adjusting the position of the lamp in the reflector. SELECON ACCLAIM AXIAL ZOOMSPOT 18° - 34° or 24° - 44° The Acclaim Axial Zoomspot continues the Selecon tradition of developing luminaires that deliver leading performance, superior operational features, and are simple and safe to use. The latest in compact filament lamps is combined with the efficiency of axial reflector systems and the Selecon custom optical design producing a profile luminaire with the precise beam control necessary for front stage lighting from auditorium positions. The high quality beam is equally useful for pattern projection. Light distribution is simply adjusted as required from a flat (2:1) to peak (3:1) field using the central planetary gear. The two zoom lens systems 18°-34° and 24°-44° are interchangeable. The 18°-34° lens system provides angles best suited for front of house positions, while the wide angle 24°-44° excels in short throw applications. |

SELECON Pacific 5° High Efficiency FIXED BEAM The Pacific 5° HE has been designed as a no compromise long throw lens tube for our Pacific range. It is intended for applications where performance and both light output and beam quality are the key criteria! Before the Pacific 5HE, 5° luminaires have used a single plastic front lens. The advantages of this are the comparative weight and cost difference between plastic and glass. The disadvantages of a single lens is the poor quality beam caused by lower transmission of the plastic lens, a factor of the composition of the moulded plastic. |

SELECON Pacific 5.5°-13° Very Narrow Zoomspot Following the world’s widest profile — the Pacific 90° Fixed Beam — Selecon introduces the world’s narrowest zoom range, from an incredible 5.5° to 13° from a luminaire less than 1m (3ft) long! Designed for longer throws, the Very Narrow Zoomspot has been carefully chosen to minimise waste light in shutter cuts, as well as delivering a usefully size larger beam for area illumination. At a 30m (98ft) throw the 5.5°-13° VNZ will provide a beam diameter adjustable from 2.8m (9.5ft) to 6.3m (20ft). With the complete range of Pacific light sources available — 600W / 800W, 1000W tungsten halogen, 575W MSR, and the new Pacific 80V 1200W Power System the Pacific VNZ provides further choice to the lighting designer and consultant. The lens tube has its own adjustable yoke which can be positioned anywhere along the length of the luminaire. The lens tube cover slides open for cleaning of the lenses. |

SELECON Pacific 80v Power System The launch of the Pacific 80V Power System represents a further step in the continuous challenge to develop better solutions for our entertainment lighting industry. A challenge which each day fires the imagination and efforts of the Selecon team. Combining a highly desirable light quality with significant energy savings provides an important new tool for our lighting designers while contributing to reducing the energy demands the industry places on our planet. The 80V 1200W Pacific introduces the advantages of lower voltage lamp technology. An intense beam of ‘pure’ white light with the power to cut through the stage picture for dramatic highlights, render saturated colours, or to deliver on those very long throws. With their low cost, acceptable colour temperature and ease of control, tungsten filament lamps are the principal light source for the performing stage. The disadvantages are inefficiency (typically 28 lumens per watt, compared to 90+ for some discharge lamps); resultant heat and increased air conditioning loads, and poor energy generation in the blue-green end of the visible spectrum. The advantages of low voltage lamps, increased efficiency, and higher colour temperature are well proven and extensively used, for example the MR16 range of architectural display lamps. Working with the world's leading lamp manufacturer's Selecon has pioneered the development of optimised current lamps for entertainment lighting. Electronic power supplies have made possible the use of the theoretical most efficient voltage for a desired wattage lamp. The result is a new lower voltage light source for the Pacific, an 80v 1200w lamp which delivers onto the stage as much light as a traditional 2.0/2.5kw luminaire ! |

SELECON Pacific Dowser for Discharge Light Sources The Pacific Dowser is a mechanical dimmer for discharge lamps (such as MSR, MSD, CDM & CST250) designed specifically for use in Selecon's Pacific range. Dimming response is similar to that of dimming a tungsten halogen lamp using a phase control dimmer. Combining high light output and a colour temperature of 5600 - 6000K discharge light sources are a highly desirable addition to the lighting designer's tool kit. Until the advent of the Pacific ellipsoidal range and now, the Pacific Dowser, usage has been limited due to the high cost. The unique modular design and advanced technology of the Pacific brings this powerful tool with in the reach of most. |
